About Our Quarterly Events

Welcome to the events page for the 2025 Group!

Every quarter, we host a special gathering aimed at bringing together local businesses and anyone interested in supporting the various initiatives we have planned for our town centre's regeneration.

These events serve as an invaluable forum for sharing updates on all ongoing projects and shining a spotlight on the aspirations we have for our community.

Each event features guest speakers drawn from a wide array of sectors—including the creative industries—who offer deep insights into their respective projects and what they envision for the future of the town centre.

But it's not just about listening; we strongly believe in the power of community input. That's why these events also offer you, the attendee, an opportunity to make your voice heard.

We invite you to share your ideas and let us know what you'd like to see in the town centre's development.

Next Grimsby Town Centre Regeneration Event

Tuesday 3rd March 2026 | Grimsby Town Hall

Over the past six months, Grimsby town centre has seen real progress, with important projects moving from plans into reality.

On Tuesday 3 March, The 2025 Group is inviting the community to come together for an evening update on what has been happening, what has been achieved, and what’s coming next.

This event is for local residents, businesses, community groups and anyone with an interest in the future of Grimsby town centre. You don’t need any prior knowledge, just curiosity and a desire to understand how the town centre is changing.

What we’ll be sharing

The evening will include clear, accessible updates on recent milestones, including:

  • The opening of the CARE Hub, providing vital support for people when they need it most
  • The completion of Horizon Youth Zone, with doors opening in mid February, creating a dedicated, high-quality space for young people
  • Wider town centre improvements and regeneration activity focused on community, connection, wellbeing, culture and local enterprise

We’ll also look ahead to future plans and upcoming projects, and how these fit into the longer-term vision for a more community-led town centre.

What to expect

  • Straightforward updates, without jargon
  • Space to listen, reflect and ask questions
  • A welcoming environment to meet others who care about the town centre
  • A positive but realistic conversation about progress and next steps

Testimonials

Hear from some of our previous guests who have attended our events.

I arrived curious, I left fired up by the number and variety of exciting things taking place in Grimsby. It’s happening here, now.

Katherine York, OMCE Manager

I am looking forward to the exciting times ahead, I have been working in the town centre for the last 53 years. I have seen many of the towns ups and downs.

I feel like the towns on the up again with lots of opportunities and people now sharing the excitement of the upcoming ventures.

Looking forward to the upcoming events, hopefully I will still be around and  I will not be missing any minute of it!

Paul George

Paul George, Sales Manager, St James Hotel.

I attended the High Streets Business Update gathering on the 19th September.

Whilst it was a great opportunity to catch up with people it was so heartening to hear at first hand of what’s already happening and upcoming for Grimsby Town Centre.

As someone who no longer visits the town centre for anything other than business meetings it was encouraging to hear of what is proposed.

The breadth and scale of the schemes envisaged is impressive and the effort and enthusiasm of all of those involved should be noted.

There are wonderful things on the horizon and I would encourage as many people as possible to get involved.

" What a great event, bringing a collective voice of positivity and vision for our local town centre, a real pleasure to be involved.  Together we really can make a difference"

Angie graham

Angie Graham, BACP Registered Psychotherapist / University & College Lecturer / Business Owner

“Having attended the last 2025 Group meet at Abbys I would strongly encourage any business based in Grimsby town centre, or who is passionate about the town, to get involved and attend future events.

The meeting was hugely informative and gave everyone attending the chance to engage with Council officers, Councillors and private businesses.

There is a lot going on, some genuinely positive and exciting things happening.  It’s our chance to hear first hand what is happening and to the shape the discussion and share the news!
