About Our Quarterly Events

Welcome to the events page for the 2025 Group!

Every quarter, we host a special gathering aimed at bringing together local businesses and anyone interested in supporting the various initiatives we have planned for our town centre's regeneration.

These events serve as an invaluable forum for sharing updates on all ongoing projects and shining a spotlight on the aspirations we have for our community.

Each event features guest speakers drawn from a wide array of sectors—including the creative industries—who offer deep insights into their respective projects and what they envision for the future of the town centre.

But it's not just about listening; we strongly believe in the power of community input. That's why these events also offer you, the attendee, an opportunity to make your voice heard.

We invite you to share your ideas and let us know what you'd like to see in the town centre's development.

We will be sharing the date of our next event here on this page very soon.

Keep your eye on our social media posts and our newsletter for the latest news on our next event.

Our Next Event

Grimsby Town Centre Regeneration Event

Join us at Grimsby Town Hall for our next event focused on the regeneration of Grimsby Town Centre.

Date: Wednesday 5th June 2024

Time: 17:30 - 20:00

We are pleased to be holding our event during Humber Biz Week 2024.

This in-person gathering will showcase the future plans for our community, including new developments, local businesses, and community initiatives.

If you came to the last event we will be building on the initiatives discussed at our last meeting, especially those aimed at enhancing the Victoria Street area.

At our previous session, we explored ways to improve the town centre's aesthetics, safety, and event offerings. We received feedback from our 97 participants who attended the last event.

This upcoming event will update you on what actions have been implemented and what is planned for the coming year.

If you're new to the 2025 Group, this event offers a superb chance to make your voice heard, learn about ongoing efforts, and actively participate in Grimsby's revitalisation.

Expect engaging presentations, announcements of upcoming speakers, and numerous networking opportunities.

Don't miss out on this opportunity to be a part of the positive changes happening in Grimsby.

Food and Drinks will be included. *Please inform us of any food preferences and allergies.

Hear from some of our previous guests who attended our last event.

I arrived curious, I left fired up by the number and variety of exciting things taking place in Grimsby. It’s happening here, now.

Katharine York

Katherine York, OMCE Manager

I am looking forward to the exciting times ahead, I have been working in the town centre for the last 53 years. I have seen many of the towns ups and downs.

I feel like the towns on the up again with lots of opportunities and people now sharing the excitement of the upcoming ventures.

Looking forward to the upcoming events, hopefully I will still be around and  I will not be missing any minute of it!

Paul George

Paul George, Sales Manager, St James Hotel.

I attended the High Streets Business Update gathering on the 19th September.

Whilst it was a great opportunity to catch up with people it was so heartening to hear at first hand of what’s already happening and upcoming for Grimsby Town Centre.

As someone who no longer visits the town centre for anything other than business meetings it was encouraging to hear of what is proposed.

The breadth and scale of the schemes envisaged is impressive and the effort and enthusiasm of all of those involved should be noted.

There are wonderful things on the horizon and I would encourage as many people as possible to get involved.

Mark Hodson

Mark Hodson, Hodson Architects

" What a great event, bringing a collective voice of positivity and vision for our local town centre, a real pleasure to be involved.  Together we really can make a difference"

Angie graham

Angie Graham, BACP Registered Psychotherapist / University & College Lecturer / Business Owner

“Having attended the last 2025 Group meet at Abbys I would strongly encourage any business based in Grimsby town centre, or who is passionate about the town, to get involved and attend future events.

The meeting was hugely informative and gave everyone attending the chance to engage with Council officers, Councillors and private businesses.

There is a lot going on, some genuinely positive and exciting things happening.  It’s our chance to hear first hand what is happening and to the shape the discussion and share the news!
