Kids Summer Camp

Taking place each Saturday across six weeks, the Summer Camp will have a different type of activity each week to offer creativity and fun. After the successful completion of each activity, children will be rewarded with a special embroidered badge and sash.

Saturday 27 July is the Reptile Badge where children can meet and hold various reptiles and learn some interesting facts about the animals, such as what they eat and when they sleep.

Saturday 3rd August it’s time to earn your Gardening Badge! Children can make their very own mini greenhouse, sow some seeds and learn about their life cycle. They can then take them home to watch them grow!

Kids Summer Camp

Saturday 10th August the circus will roll into town! Children can earn their Circus Badge by taking part in the circus workshop, learning how to aerial hoop, juggle and spin plates – all great skills to impress the family once back home!

Sat 17 August Freshney Place

Kids Summer Camp

Saturday 17th August will give youngster the chance to earn their science badge. Watch the mad scientists prepare their crazy experiments and take part in learning how to make slime, energy sticks, screaming balloons and instant snow.

Kids Summer Camp

Saturday 24th August an Artist Badge will be up for grabs in the fabulous art workshops. Exploring the works of some of the most famous artists such as Picasso and Andy Warhol, children can experiment with artistic styles such as collage, pop art and watercolour.

Finally, to close the Summer Camp programme of activity, on Saturday 31st August, there will be a Dance Badge to earn whilst celebrating at the Summer Camp Party! Learn some new moves and then show them off by dancing to some great tunes played by the DJ!

Beachside Comic Con 2024

Luxx Events are super excited to be bringing back Beachside Comic Con for its third year! We have lots planned and some exciting things to announce! So come back to this listing and following Luxx Events on Facebook for notifications and more. Bringing more competitions, more props and photo opportunities, cosplay stands and guests, guests from TV and Film, more fantastic traders, LUXX very own “MiniGeeks corner bigger than ever, and more for the family to enjoy.

About the fund

This grant scheme is to support activities and events within and around Victoria Street in Grimsby and accepts applications from businesses, not for profit, voluntary and community organisations in North East Lincolnshire (ideally experienced in delivering activities in this area) that can clearly demonstrate how their project contributes to following:

Target Area of Benefit:

Projects must impact the area within and around the Victoria Street area of Grimsby

Priorities:

Projects should provide events and activities that address the following:

Increase footfall into Grimsby Town Centre
Increase engagement with town centre users
